Transformed into the Mind of Christ

As the Holy Spirit perfects us, instead of looking at trials with a carnal mind, we view them with the mind of Christ. God’s divinity within us turns any trials into a momentary and light affliction (2 Corinthians 4:17).

Most people spend more time believing that God is going to give them what they want and do not have, rather than in focusing on His will for them moment by moment throughout each new day.

The more we look to the future, the more we waste the present. When we view our present trials as part of God’s will for us, we find Him in the midst of them (Romans 12:2).

Jesus asks us to separate our self from the human realm of life, even while we still live in it (John 15:19). We physically live in the world, but we do not belong to any part of it (John 17:14-15).

We find this place of spiritually mindedness by realizing that our humanity is dead in Christ, and we no longer live, but Christ lives in and through us (Galatians 2:20; Colossians 3:3).

Jesus already overcame any negative aspect we could ever experience in this life, and He dwells in us with all of the power of our triune God (John 16:33).

We walk in His victory as we experience each trial as a new adventure, which God brings our way. God uses these trials to transform us out of the earthly sphere into His spiritual Kingdom (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Prayer:
Father God, You gave us the life we have, just as it is right now. You want us to allow You to shine through us in it, rather than for us to wait around for something we think we need. Help us to learn to be content in Your provision for our daily needs, rather than wanting something different or more (Philippians 4:11).

Remind us to focus on what is eternal rather than on that which is earthly, because reality is only found in You. You do not promise us tomorrow; so help us to give You all of our self in this moment, without holding back anything or worrying about the future in any way.

Thought for the Day:
When we love the things of this world, we do not have the love of the Father in us. - 1 John 2:15

God's Kingdom Within Us

God gives us His salvation, so that we might share in His divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). Before we came to Christ, our spirit was dead in our sins, but Jesus delivered us from eternal damnation in hell (Ephesians 2:5).

He provides pardon for our sins, comfort in our affliction, strength to overcome adversity, the promise of a glorious resurrection, and life everlasting with Christ and all of the Saints.

Jesus spoke the words of God so that we can obey them and believe that God sent Him (John 17:8). When we choose to love Christ and to keep His statutes, He comes to make His home in us (John 14:23).

In our union with Jesus, we live in His divine nature and His divine nature lives in and through us (2 Peter 1:4). Since Christ dwells in our spirit, we become one Spirit with Him (1 Corinthians 6:17).

Through His divine power, God gave us everything we need to live a godly life (2 Peter 1:3). Although we live physically in this earthly realm, the reality of our life is that we live in the Kingdom of God (Luke 17:21).

We no longer view our life from a temporal standpoint, but from an eternal perspective. We live as partakers of Christ’s holiness as He puts His mind within us (Hebrews 12:10; 1 Corinthians 2:16).

The Father is in Jesus, Jesus is in the Father and we are in Jesus; therefore we are also in union with the Father (John 14:20-23, 17:21-23). The best part about life is that God loves us and shows Himself to us (John 14:21).

Prayer:
Father God, our attitudes about life and eternity change once we come to Christ in salvation. You created our new self to exist with the purity and holiness of Christ (Ephesians 4:23-24). Each day we come a little closer to complete unity in the faith and in our knowledge of Jesus, which will also eventually bring us to the full stature of the maturity of Christ in us (Ephesians 4:13).

Because of Your promises, we look forward to Your new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells forever (2 Peter 3:13). We long for the day when there is no more sighing or suffering, where complete unity occurs between nature and mankind, and where Your Body is ready, willing and able to serve You.

Thought for the Day:
Just as Jesus was fully human with God’s divine nature fully abiding in and through Him, we are fully human with Christ’s divine nature fully abiding in and through us.

Divine Protection and Provision

The Lord is our strength, as well as our light and our salvation; and this fact removes all anxiety from our life. Even when wicked people and circumstances impose evil on us to harm us, they falter and fail. We walk in contentment through it all (Psalm 27:1-4).

God hears our prayers for His help, and quickly comes to our aid (Psalm 18:6). As we dwell continually in His presence, His goodness and mercy protect us all the days of our life (Psalm 23:6).

Rather than living our own way, we walk in His holiness, delight in His presence, honor His precepts and enjoy worshiping with His Saints. His favor rests on us, and He establishes our ministry for His glory (Psalm 90:17; Isaiah 58:13).

He parts the heavens, soars on wings of the wind, hurls thunder and lightning to scatter our enemies, reaches down from His lofty place and holds us in the palm of His hand (Psalm 18:1-9; John 10:28-29).

He protects us when disaster threatens to overwhelm us, places us in wide open spaces and rescues us from all of our affliction, because He delights in us (Psalm 18:10-19).

We intimately experience the power, protection and provision of His name.  He gives His angels charge over us to keep us in all of our ways. They carry us in their hands, so that we do not even stub our toe on life's rocky places.

If we focus our love upon Him, He delivers us (Psalm 91:11-12). There is nothing too hard for Him (Luke 18:27). He makes the impossible aspects of life achievable, as we dwell in His presence (Matthew 19:26).

Prayer:
Father God, Your presence in our life allows us to leap high walls, arms us with strength, trains us for spiritual warfare, lights our way, makes us nimble in traversing the pitfalls in life, stoops down to make us great and sets us safely on Your high places (Psalm 18:29-46).

You made the heavens and the earth by Your outstretched arms, nothing is too hard for You to accomplish in order to equip us to do Your will (Jeremiah 32:17). If we depend on You, You give us Your wisdom and reveal to us the great and mighty things You have in store for us (Jeremiah 33:3). We abide in You and take refuge under the shelter of Your wings (Psalm 61:4).

Thought for the Day:
Seek the Lord while He may still be found; call on Him while He is still near; for the great and terrible day of the Lord is at hand. - Isaiah 55:6; Joel 2:3; Malachi 4:5
