Intricately and Wonderfully Made

In contemplating the intricacies of the human body, I had to stop and praise the Lord for His wondrous work. He took a bit of dust from the earth and formed a man, then a rib from his side and made a woman.

Yet, each cell of our body is a work of art. Each atom is synchronized with all of the other proton, neutrons and electrons to function optimally. Our body even heals itself when given the right ingredients, and as we keep out harmful toxins.

God orchestrated the construction of our unique body in our mother's womb. He actually knew us before we were ever born (Psalm 139:13-16). He wants to be intricately involved in each moment of our life (Proverbs 3:5-6).

He rejoices over us with singing (Zephaniah 3:17). He knows our thoughts before we think them; He watches us as we stand up, sit down, walk around, and sleep, etc. He knows what we will say and do before we do, and He protects us as we submit to His will (Psalm 139:1-5).

His ways are beyond human comprehension. As we trust Him each moment of our day, He searches our heart to perfect us, keeps us on the path of His righteousness, and walks with us through trials to prove to us His faithfulness (Psalm 139:1-24).

God's love for us is eternally everlasting. His mercy is new every morning, even to those who curse Him and hate His ways. He does not desire for anyone to perish into the fires of hell for eternity, but for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

His wisdom is more numerous than the drops of water in the sea (Lamentations 3:22-23), and He imparts them liberally to anyone who asks for it (James 1:5). He also brings to light the mysteries, which He hid from the time He created all things. (Ephesians 3:9)

Prayer:
Father God, Your ways are too amazing to comprehend. That is why so many people reject You, and Your love and mercy for them. They choose instead to walk in their own ways, and to rely on their own finite wisdom instead. They may find success on this earth, but they are never fully satisfied or fulfilled here, and they condemn themselves for eternity (John 3:18).

Teach us Your ways, O Lord, and draw us to Your heart. Strengthen our inner being so that we can come to repentance, and to believe in Your wisdom for salvation of our spirit, soul and body (Ephesians 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:23). Help us to share the truth of all of Your benefits with as many people as will listen to us, and draw them by Your Spirit when we do.

Thought of the Day:
The miracle of life, and the intricately woven body in which we live are amazing; and we bless God's name continually for all He has done, is doing, and will do for those who trust in His name.
