There is Still Time

God is merciful as well as righteous. He never sends judgment on a person or nation until He first sends a multitude of warnings through prophets, nature, inner promptings in our soul or spirit and the natural consequences of our behavior.

He does not want anyone to perish, but for everyone to share in His blessings of eternal life. He is like a mother hen who wants to gather her chicks under her wings and protect them all (2 Peter 3:8-10; Matthew 23:37).

In these later days, God ramped up natural disasters, wars around the world, a famine of His Word; and He allowed the rapid growth of debauchery in our world in order to call us to repentance.

Yet, the pride and rebellion of many cause them to ignore His warnings and His attempt to draw all men to Himself (John 12:32). People think they know better than God and disdain Him for what they perceive as His failings.

Comedians turn the hearts of many away from God with their human logic and satanic lies. So many people run from God rather than into His outstretched arms.

In our modern society, men's hearts daily fail them for fear (Luke 21:26). They use suicide, alcohol, drugs and amassing worldly riches to assuage their discontent - to no avail.

Archeological discoveries persist in proving the veracity of the Bible, but this news is hidden in the back pages of annals and ignored or belittled.

Science continues to uncover never before seen species of God's creation; but they refuse to give God credit for the creature's magnificence and the fact that they thrive in almost impossible living conditions.

People also ignore the fact that these creatures did not evolve, but are exclusive in their designs and functions. They stubbornly uphold a theory with missing links as their truth.

God will continue to send warnings, tribulation and amazing discoveries to prove His existence and to turn hearts to Himself, until the day He raptures His Saints from the earth and sends His Great Tribulation on our godless civilization.

Prayer:

Father God, You attempt to draw everyone into Your loving embrace and You use every means available to bring people to their knees in repentance and belief in You for salvation. You never give up on anyone, even when they condemn themselves by their unbelief (John 3:18). 

However, there will come a day when Your cup of wrath is full and You will pour out judgment on the nations of the world in a period of the greatest tribulation the world has ever known. You will send strong delusion on the Gentiles, once this age is finished; and then it will be too late for them to repent. However, You will give Your chosen race of Israel one final chance to choose You as their God and Savior.

We praise You for Your patience with mankind and Your plan to redeem us all back into Your embrace. Teach us to humble our self under Your mighty hand and to heed Your warning signs designed to draw us back to You.

Thought for the Day:

God sent His Word full of prophecies that prove His existence, and He continues to warn people of His coming judgment and the culmination of life as we know it; He is patient and long-suffering, and He chooses to store up His wrath and to pour out His mercy on the world every single day. There is still time. Won't you believe?

Fellowship with God's Trinity

 

Prayer is the most important spiritual discipline we can accomplish. Prayer is speaking to God from our heart. Rote prayers and formulas for prayer are unnecessary. God already knows our heart and delights in hearing our own words (Luke 16:15).

As we mature in Christ, God places His burdens upon our heart for the lost people groups in our world, for those laden by illness and natural disasters, for people devastated by the loss of a loved one through death or divorce, and those suffering from other distresses caused by this sin-cursed life.

God gives us His heart and lays His burdens on us a bit heavier as time progresses. When we faithfully pray, the intense weight is terrible at times, but the fact that God trusts us with His heart is joyful and spurs us on to persevere in prayer.

As we acknowledge our dependence on Christ in all things, especially in prayer, we pray in the Spirit as well as with our human understanding (1 Corinthians 14:14-15). We see mighty answers to our prayers from a God who delights in bringing us joy (Psalm 149:4).

We stop limiting God by our doubts and carnal thoughts. We follow our Lord Jesus' example and pray the prayer, which never fails, "Lord, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." (Luke 22:42)

God already knows our needs, but He delights in our dependence on Him. Our Father savors the words of praise and adoration, which we pour out in our prayers.

He delights in our companionable silence when there is no immediate need to lift up in supplication. We bask in the warming rays of His continual presence.

We yearn for intimacy with Him, and He snuggles us under the shelter of His wings as He showers us with His love (Psalm 17:8). We even experience the fullness of His glory from time to time.

We pray without ceasing all through the day, regardless of the circumstances in which we find our self. We look for His seed for a miracle in the negative aspects and rejoice in His provision and blessings in the positive experiences.

Prayer:

Father God, as we take time in Your presence more and more with each passing day, Your love shines in us and through us as a beacon to the lost and dying world around us. Your Word shows us that the Saints of old persevered in their anointing by abiding in Your presence. Help us to fully surrender to Your Spirit each moment of our day.

Remind us in the midst of our infirmities that the ministry of prayer and intercession is the most powerful task You share with Your Body. When we allow You to remove our need to stay busy, You use our whole being in this vital ministry. We do not need to be bed-ridden to be effective in prayer; it is simply a matter of priorities. Prompt us to cry out day and night for Your Kingdom to reign over all the earth.

Thought for the Day:
When we pray without ceasing, we abide in fellowship with the Trinity and access their power in every circumstance in our life.

Safety in the Lord

Regardless of our earthly circumstance, God Himself is our refuge during our trials, and our strength to make Godly choices in spite of how much pain we are experiencing. He is always ready to help us during difficulty.

We experience numerous negative issues in this life including illness, natural disasters, war, fire, loss of a loved one through death or divorce, etc.; yet, God is with us through them all, calming our fears.

Although He brings destruction on ungodly nations, He also blesses Godly nations with His glorious works. Every nation will obey Him throughout the whole world, and will bow their knee to His Lordship (Romans 14:11).

He will ultimately end all wars on the earth, and destroy the implements of war; bringing peace and His goodness on all those who honor Him with their life.

The city of God is our future dwelling place. There is a river, which brings joy to the sacred home of our most high God, and we will abide with Him forever.

The voice of the Lord can melt the earth; yet the God of angel armies is our fortress, living among us. He is our dwelling place and He also dwells within us, making our way straight and providing us with an everlasting fortress (Psalm 46).

It is a safe dwelling place and can never be destroyed, even when earthly kingdoms crumble in chaos. There is no one like our God, who rides the heavens to come to our aid with all of His majesty streaking through the skies in our defense.

His everlasting arms gird us and He drives out our enemies before us (Deuteronomy 33:26-27). We have all of God's fullness within us at the moment of our salvation; and as we surrender to His will, He manifests more of Himself through us.

His heavenly dew refreshes us in times of spiritual drought and He leads us to dwell in the land of plenty. He saves us from calamity and is our shield and sword in the face of our enemies (Deuteronomy 33:28-29).

Prayer:

Father God, I am so glad that we have all of eternity to praise and worship You for Your magnanimous blessings to us during our sojourn on this earth. Your name is our high tower and we run into it and are saved from life's evil and disappointments (Proverbs 18:10).

Only in You do we place our trust (Psalm 91:2; Proverbs 29:25). You are our loving God and there is no one else like You. You are great and Your name is great in all the earth (Psalm 144:2; Jeremiah 10:6). We give You all the praise and glory, which is due to Your name.

Whoever surrenders to the Lord has a secure fortress in this life and the next, and He is an eternal refuge for our children and children's children. - Proverbs 14:26
