Radical Dependence on Christ

Just as Jesus, through whom all things were made, humbled himself and went to the cross for our sake (John 1:3; Philippians 2:7-8), we also humble our self to walk in obedience to His will for our life.

We radically depend upon Christ alone to provide for our needs, and to relieve our fears, depression and insecurities. He directs our steps each moment of the day as we operate through faith in God - not in people, our paycheck or our family.

We benefit from receiving mentoring from more mature, authentic Believers; and we also disciple others who are younger in the faith than we are. However, we renew our mind each day by our own devotional time in His Word.

Christ within us walks with us each step of the day, using our body, soul and spirit to further His Kingdom in the earth. Jesus lived His whole life in divine love, and He continues living His life through us as well (Romans 13:8).

He loves others through our thoughts, choices and emotions as we follow His Spirit’s guidance throughout our lifetime (1 John 4:19). He even loves our enemies through us when we submit to His Spirit.

God heals our crippled soul and gives us a fulfilling life as well. Our soul finds its true rest in God alone (Psalm 62:1). This enables us to walk in His ways (Jeremiah 6:16), and even when we are discourage, we put our hope in God alone (Psalm 42:11).

Prayer:
Father God, we love You with all of our heart, soul and mind (Matthew 22:37), and we enjoy good health as our life goes well for us. In our service to You, we prosper even as our soul prospers (3 John 1:2). Thank You for wonderfully forming us in our mother's womb (Psalm 139:13-14). We know that You are always with us and in us, and we seek You with our whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13).

We long for more intimacy with You in this sin-cursed world, and we thirst for Your living water (Psalm 63:1; John 7:37). Our soul praises Your name in our innermost being (Psalm 103:1). Your Word strengthens our spirit, is sweet to our soul, and healing to our body (Proverbs 16:24; Psalm 119:7). Our whole being waits for You, and we hope in Your Word (James 22:5).

Thought for the Day:
Not one of God's promises fail us, and every one of them is fulfilled at one time or another during our lifetime; this causes our lips to shout with joy, and our voice to sing His praises. - Joshua 23:14; Psalm 71:23
