Too
often, we feel stress, pressure, irritation, exasperation, and sometimes, even
sheer panic at all we have to accomplish in one day. Our to-do list grows
each day, as we add what we failed to complete yesterday.
We
attempt to squeeze in all of the activities, which we feel are necessary for us
and our family. This occurs because we are relying on our human
understanding. Yet, God calls us to dedicate each moment of our life to
trusting in Him.
We
submit our energy, resources and thoughts to Him. Then, we consult His will
about everything we do, think and say (Proverbs 3:5-6). God directs all of our
steps. He takes the mountains and valleys out of our day, and gives us a level
road to follow (Proverbs 16:3).
We
no longer feel that life is an uphill battle. We do not fear trials, because we
know that God is in control. We consult our Father God before we start any
project, and we serve Him with a submissive heart and complete devotion all
through the day.
God's
Spirit renews our mind into the image of our Creator (Colossians 3:9-10). In
Christ, our cultural, national, vocational and family heritage have no bearing
on who we are. He is our all and He is in all (Colossians 3:11). We are God's
beloved children.
We
walk in His holiness through Christ in us. God's Spirit teaches us to clothe
our self in compassion, kindness, humility, patience, and gentleness (Colossians
3:12). We learn to bear with each other, and to forgive each other when we have
a grievance (Colossians 3:13).
Our
Father God is always available to everyone who seeks His will for their life (1
Chronicles 28:9). As we listen attentively with our spiritual ears (Mark
4:9, 23), we discern God's direction for our steps all throughout the day
(Isaiah 30:21). God promises to work out everything for our good, as we obey
His will (Romans 8:28).
Prayer:
Father
God, You do not find fault with us, and You give us Your wisdom any time we ask
for it (James 1:5). There is no more anxiety about what we must accomplish with
the moments of our day, because You hear our prayers as we rely only on You to
direct our steps in victorious living (Philippians 4:6).
Remind
us not to futilely spin our wheels attempting to accomplish our own goals and
desires for our life. Help us to walk in Your Spirit and to obey Your direction
for each moment. This way You can help us to accomplish the activities, which
You ordained for our life (Ephesians 2:10).
Thought
for the Day:
We
need God's direction every moment of every hour of every day of our whole
lifetime; this occurs once we realize that our life is not our own, but His,
bought with the precious blood of Christ as a ransom for our sins.
