Jesus is the Only Way, Truth and Life

Jesus proclaimed Himself as the only way, truth and life; and that no one can go to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). His truth always sets us free (John 8:31-32).

Jesus said He is the door to God and we enter God's presence through salvation in Jesus alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). After salvation, we love and live by His words of truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10). They are so much a part of our existence that we cannot live without them (John 6:35).

Jesus let it be known during His earthly ministry that the words which He spoke were the truth (John 8:45). We can trust in, rely on and believe in His Words. In fact, if all we ever read of the Bible were the words of Jesus, we would know everything we need to live Godly in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:12).

We feast on His Word in the morning, at noon and at night. They keep us spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically fit to accomplish God's will for our life (Ephesians 2:10). They are our bread of life and the living water that quenches our thirst (John 6:25-59; 4:14).

Jesus is the only being that satisfies our longing and fills our hungry soul (Psalm 107:9). When we yoke up with Him, He carries the brunt of the weight of our burdens and He guides us along the right path. He gives us rest from the weary trials we experience in life (Matthew 11:29).

We cling to His Words as a life raft in troubled waters, and we float through circumstances in His peace and joy with Him at the helm. He is our peace and He breaks down every wall that Satan builds to thwart our way (Ephesians 2:14).

Prayer:
Father God, there is no way for us to survive in this life without Your Word; yet, we take it for granted and fill our life with other pursuits that prevent us from spending time absorbing Your life-giving truths. Help us to develop the habit of consuming Your Truth and drinking the eternal water of Your river of life (Psalm 46:4; Revelation 22:1).

We look forward to the day we can join You in Heaven and bask in Your presence; but until then, we serve You with an everlasting joy and we further Your Kingdom on the earth at every chance we can get with family, friends, acquaintances, workmates and neighbors.

Thought for the Day:
As we learn God's Truths and apply them to our lifestyle and choices, we have His Word hidden in our heart; this keeps us from sinning against Him and from reaping negative aspects from the thoughts, words and deeds that we sow in our life.
- Psalm 119:11
