We so often overwhelm our spirit,
soul and body by working for God. We spin our wheels, fall off the tracks or
experience one road block after another in our attempt to accomplish these good
works for Him.
If we discover that the task we have
at hand is draining us of our physical, emotional and/or mental resources, then
we need to questions whether or not God called us to perform it.
God's energy, wisdom and strength
work within us to enable us to accomplish everything which He calls us to do
(Colossians 1:29). Sometimes, we ignore His help and push ahead of His timing
in accomplishing His will.
If we walk in the center of God's
will, we have the power of Christ in us, which God exerted in and through Jesus
at the resurrection (Ephesians 1:19-20). The Greek word in this passage is the
same one from which we get our word dynamite.
Explosive power and might are
just waiting for us to tap into them and to allow them to fuel our obedience to
God's will for each moment of our day. The key to walking in this power is to
receive from God's Spirit, His clear direction for what He wants us to do.
Then, we focus all of our
emotional, metal and spiritual energy into achieving God's plan as we walk in
the Spirit (Galatians 5:15-25). We promote and build the Kingdom of God on the
earth, one person and one task at a time.
We take up our cross daily by
yoking up with Jesus, who helps to carry our load and gives us His anointing
from within us to do all that God has planned for our day (Matthew 11:30; Luke
9:23).
Prayer:
Father God, You often intervene
in the events of our life in order that we may avoid a catastrophe, which would
negatively impact our life and the lives of others we know. We are aware of
some of these events, but some of them we will never realize until eternity. We
thank You for all of Your care for us as a loving Daddy and eternal Friend.
We thank You for Your angels who
watch over and protect us from events in this world that often frighten us. We
accomplish Your will for each moment of our life once we come to understand
that we live better by Your power, which is at work in us (Philippians 4:13).
Thank You for saving and comforting us each and every day of our life.
Thought for the Day:
The
presence of the Trinity within us brings us deliverance and healing to our
body, soul and spirit and we abide in His rest forever as we stand in awe of
His marvelous creation, bountiful provision and perfection of our spirit and
soul as we walk in His ways.
