Gods Mercy toward Us

Photo of Pink Roses in Vase

Our God is, was and always will be throughout eternity; He will reign forever and ever by His great power. We rejoice in this fact (Revelation 11:17). Everything which God created is good. When we accept His provision with thanksgiving, nothing disappoints us (1 Timothy 4:4-5).

Many people know about God; however they do not glorify Him as God, nor do they give Him thanks for His blessings in their life. Their humanistic thinking is futile, and their foolish hearts are darkened by their unholy thoughts, words and deeds (Romans 1:21).

However, the Lord gathers His people from all of the nations, and He saves us, so that we may give thanks to His holy name and glory in His praise (Psalm 106:47). We praise Him with gratitude on our lips, because He is so good to us, and His love endures forever (Psalm 118:1, 29; 136:1).

God's Word cautions us not to allow sin to use any part of us as instruments of wickedness. It encourages us to offer our self to God as instruments of righteousness, because He brought us from death to life by His Son's precious blood (Romans 6:13).

When we comprehend the extent of God's mercy toward us by saving us from the penalty of our sin, we more readily offer our self to Him as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, a true and constant worshipper of Him now and throughout eternity (Romans 12:1).

We learn to thank God for everything, which He generously supplies for us, and we do everything, even things as simple as what we eat and drink, for His glory (1 Corinthians 10:30-31).

God's Holy Spirit, whom Jesus sent to us, pours out the love of God into our hearts. This enables us to peacefully walk through trials, because we know that God will work out each one for our good (Romans 8:28). This helps us to allow patience to perfect us and to give us hope (Romans 5:3-5).

Prayer:
Father God, we give thanks to You for Your unfailing love and your benevolence in all things toward every person in the whole world. We want to spend each day on this earth giving thanks to You with songs of joy for Your wonderful deeds (Psalm 107:21-22).

We enter Your presence with thanksgiving, and we enter Your courts with praise (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). We give thanks to You and praise Your name forever. You are so good to us, and Your love and faithfulness endures forever through every generation (Psalm 100:4-5).

Thought for the Day:
We have no need to feel fear or anxiety over anything, because in every situation, we can petition our God with thanksgiving in our heart as we make our requests known to Him; this allows His peace, which is infinite and eternal, to guard our heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
