God demonstrated His love for us by taking on the form of
human flesh and sacrificing that life for us all (Romans 5:8). Understanding
this ultimate sacrifice, given to us as a free gift, increases our love for our
Savior and our King.
We more easily trust in Him instead of our human
reasoning once we realize that God's laws are meant to protect us, not to
restrict us (Proverbs 3:5-6). When trials arise and doubt fills our soul, we
learn to trust Him with our whole heart.
The double-edged sword of God's Word separates our soul
and spirit and gives us His love, power and sound mind (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy
1:7). As a skilled surgeon, God's Spirit operates to remove our carnality and
to fill us with a spiritual mindset.
Unbelievers do not recognize the signs of Jesus' coming. They
see little significance in the year 1948 and the three major signs, which
occurred: Israel became a nation, the World Council of Churches formed and the
European Union commenced as the Revised Roman Empire.
Sadly, apathy has overtaken the world, carnality reigns
in Christians everywhere, and there is a growing famine in the land of Bible
preachers, since teachers that scratch itching ears are filling the pulpits
everywhere (2 Timothy 4:3).
As Authentic Christians, we eagerly await the Lord's
return as a thief in the night to claim His Bride and to take us to His home
for our wedding feast (1 Thessalonians 5:2). During this time, God will also
pour out His wrath on the nations in the Great Tribulation, save the nation of
Israel, and bind Satan for 1000 years.
We excitedly await this end-time with Christ in us, and
us in Him and Him in God (Revelation 22:3), because we read in the last
chapters of Revelation that God restores to mankind everything which Satan
stole from all of humanity in the first chapters of Genesis.
Prayer:
Father God, teach us to heed Your signs of the Lord
Jesus's stealthy return for His Bride. Keep us encouraged and fully dedicated
to You in every way. Give us a burden for the lost, which includes the courage
to share Your Gospel truth with everyone who will listen to us. Save our family
members who refuse to hear Your truth from us, by working in their hearts or by
sending Your emissaries into their life.
We bind on earth, as it is already bound in Heaven, the
stronghold that currently prevents each of them from surrendering to Your call
on their life (Ephesians 10:2). Draw them close to You and never let them go.
Make us a living testimony that will influence them to turn to You all the days
of our life.
