Most people in today's society walk around
in the dark, but they do not know it. They do not fear the Lord, obey His
voice, trust in His name or rely on Him (Isaiah 50:10).
They face life without hope, living with
uncertainty and a heavy load of care. They are not experiencing the conscious
blessings of the Lord.
Authentic Believers have these same trials
and adversity; yet, we do not live without hope, and we walk in the Light, even
as Jesus is in the light and is the Light of the world (John 8:12).
We walk in the Truth of God's Word,
following His Spirit's direction each moment of the day, even if we are
experiencing darkness all around us.

We
walk by faith, not by sight; in Biblical insight rather than our human
knowledge and feelings (2 Corinthians 5:7). The peace and joy of the Lord
reigns supreme in our soul and calms the troubled thoughts and emotions within
us.
Jesus
experienced trials during His life time that equal in severity to what we
suffer. He can relate to us in every way, and He is our advocate now at the
right hand of our Father God (Hebrews 4:15).
Prayer:
Father
God, we can never thank You enough for leaving Your home in glory to suffer the
indignities of life on this earth. We look forward to You restoring the earth
to Your intended glory for it as a paradise. We eagerly await the government
resting on Your shoulders (Isaiah 9:6).
We
want to serve You with our entire being, holding nothing back and not wasting
our resources on things of this life, but only on Your Kingdom. Thank you for
providing all of our needs and for giving us the health, strength, desire and
power to accomplish Your will for our life (Ephesians 2:20).
Thought
for the Day:
When
we walk through a trial and triumph over it through Christ in us, we realize
that we grew in intimacy with the Lord because of it.
