The Priceless Life of a Woman of God

God considers a wife as a precious jewel. With the help of His Spirit within us, we are virtuous, trustworthy, frugal and helpful to our husband (Proverbs 12:4, 31:10-12).

We have hobbies that we enjoy (Proverbs 31:22); and if we want one, a career of our own (Proverbs 31:13-14). Using our talents as entrepreneurs, we step out and work in fields that peak our interest (Proverbs 31:16, 24).

Employing modern conveniences or domestic help, we serve as an accomplished homemaker. We carefully watch what goes on in our household, and industriously keep it tidy and homey (Proverbs 31:15, 27).

We may be a "morning dove" or a "night owl", but both are equally as valuable. We make the most of the time that we have each day, and we work at everything at our own pace (Proverbs 31:17-18).

We all love a bargain, and, if we are not blessed with a talent for sewing, we purchase clothing on sale and at thrift stores. Planning ahead, we organize our clothes by the seasons and make sure that our family is well-prepared for each of them (Proverbs 31:21).

We never overlook our self in the midst of our busy life. We take care of our needs, just like we care for everyone else in our life. We exercise, eat fresh foods, enjoy our family and hobbies, and minister for the Lord.

Growing old gracefully, we maintain our strength and dignity, because we have no fear of old age. Our words are seasoned with wisdom and kindness; and our beauty radiates from within our heart (Proverbs 31:25-26).

Prayer:
Father God, give us the charm of a gentle and quiet spirit that is precious to You and a witness to others (Proverbs 31:30; 1 Peter 3:4). Remind us to make daily devotions and worshiping with the local Saints a priority in our life. We revere You and give You the praise for all that we are and all that we have.

Please open doors for us to generously help the poor and needy (Proverbs 31:19). We know that we reap what we sow, so help us to sow blessings and honor for Your glory in every area of our life (Proverbs 31:31).

Thought for the Day:
God says that women are worthy of praise from others, especially our husband and children, when we please Him in all that we think, say and do.
- Proverbs 31:28-29
