God is Never Far From Us

Red Cluster Petal Flower Field during Sunset

God never had a beginning and will never have an ending. He is eternal in the heavenlies; and He chose to share His glory with humanity (Psalm 90:2). The only prerequisite is that we believe in Jesus whom He sent (John 3:16-18).

The Lord reigns supreme and lights the earth with His lightning. The mountains will melt like wax before Him, because He is Lord of the whole earth, exalted above every other king, lord or god (Psalm 97:1-9).

His people break forth in song at the mere mention of His name, the fullness of the seas roar, the rivers and trees clap their hands while the hills blossom with joy. He judges the world with righteousness (Psalm 98:4-9; Psalm 104).

God is wise in heart, mighty in strength and no one who hardens their heart against Him will prosper. He created the constellations and spread them across the sky. His wonders are innumerable (Job 9:4-12).

Even the beasts of the woods, the birds of the air, the fish of the sea and the fullness of the earth testify of His hand in their creation. He gives breath to every living being (Job 12:7-10).

God hung the earth on its invisible axis and keeps us slanted at the exact tilt to maintain life as we know it. He makes half of the earth day while the other half is night. He troubles the sea and calms it at His will (Job 26:7-14).

All His ways are goodness and we can trust in Him with confidence, because He is faithful and cares for us. He works all things for the good of those who love Him and who choose to enter the ranks of His called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28; Ephesians 2:10).

Prayer:
Father God, Your majesty is awesome and causes us to give You the honor due to Your name. You do great things for us, which we cannot conceive with our finite, human mind; and You reveal Yourself to us through nature and the testimony of Your Saints (Job 37:2-22, and Chapters 38 & 39). You do not need us at all; but You desire to fellowship with Your Saints.

You do not dwell in the great concrete edifices that mankind builds for you; but You dwell in us as we reside in Your fullness. Thank You that You predetermined Your appointed times to carry out Your will for us in the hopes that we will reach out and take a hold of Your goodness, and embrace You with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength (Isaiah 45:5-6, 18-19, 21-23).

Thought for the Day:
God is not far from each one of us, and longs for our fellowship; wanting us to live, move and have our being only in Him.
- Acts 17:24-28
