God's Healing Principles - Part One - For the Mind

The Word of God is full of advice on how to live a healthy life mentally, emotionally, financially, physically and spiritually (3 John 1:2). If we ferret them out of the chapters and verses, we find amazing truth by which to live our life (Proverbs 4:22).

As authentic Believers, when we pray without ceasing throughout the day, we find that we experience less anxiety (1 Peter 5:7). Living with gratitude for what God already provided, helps us to live in contentment (Psalm 95:1-3).

God's peace that is greater than our circumstances floods our soul, and guards our mind (John 14:27; Jonah 2:5-7; Philippians 4:6-7). As we live in His will, and walk in His Spirit, we can do everything He calls us to do, because He abides within us and gives us His strength (Philippians 4:13).

A key for mental clarity is to corral our thoughts and to line them up in obedience to Christ. This helps us to destroy expectations, assumptions, and every proud and arrogant plan we make for our self (Philippians 4:8; 2 Corinthians 10:5).

He gives us His spirit of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7), so we have no worries (Matthew 6:33-34). We take authority over fear and insecurity by the power of the blood of Jesus, and God helps us as He supports, sustains and defends us with His mighty right hand (Isaiah 41:10).

We yoke up with Him, walking in His will and setting our thoughts on life, peace and infinite concepts and vision, and He helps us to carry our load (Matthew 11:28:30; Romans 8:6, 12:1-2). His generous, unconditional love showers us with continual blessings (1 John 4:16).

Prayer:
Father God, the sufferings we experience in this life are minimal compared to the great glory You will reveal to us in eternity (2 Corinthians 4:17). We know that You work out every issues for ultimate good, and we maintain our faith in Your faithfulness (Romans 8:18, 28). You do not expect perfect Saints, because You created us as human beings who struggle with sin.

You have compassion on us; however, You always call us to repentance (Matthew 9:12-13; Luke 5:31-32). You encourage us with Your Word, renew us in the spirit of our mind, and You bring others into our life who help to heal our broken heart and defeat our neurotic thoughts and actions (Proverbs 16:24; Ephesians 4:23). Your Spirit brings us into perfection through one stage of glory to the next (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Thought for the Day:
Working toward a balanced life is our main goal in our walk with the Lord, and trusting Him to help us to achieve mental health is one way to defeat the devil and to live victoriously; we follow Jesus' example as He grew in wisdom and stature and favor with our Father God.
