All Things through Christ

So many people believe that God will not allow us to have tribulation and trials more than we are able to handle. Yet, God's Word actually does not say this, but simply encourages us to know that we can stand against temptation just like Jesus did (1 Corinthians 10:13).

This happens especially because He always gives us a way to escape the tempting enticement. As we consult God's Spirit each moment of the day, He gives us His wisdom and power to walk through each extenuating circumstance we will ever face.

Trials will probably be more than we can handle, because Jesus promises that in the world we are guaranteed to experience tribulation (John 16:33). However, these events are not more than Christ in us can handle. His presence within us begins on the day of our salvation and remains with us for eternity.

Safety is a vital requirement for each of us, and we want to believe that God's plans include provision for this innate need. Nothing can enter our life without God's express permission. However, God's justice means that we do reap what we sow in every situation (James 1:14-16).

His grace proves that we can eliminate much of the negative we experience by walking in His Spirit rather than by our own human understanding. Each trial teaches us lessons, as it also proves to us that God loves us and is working out everything for our ultimate advantage.

We see the power of God working all around us, within us and through us. God's presence is always within us. He does not come and go, but He continually abides in us. We can sense His presence if we spend time in continual communication with Him (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

Prayer:
Father God, help us to understand that You never, ever leave or forsake us at any time in our life (Hebrews 13:5). In our darkest hour, our deepest doubt, and our most troubling circumstances, You are always within us. Teach us to recognize Your hand in our life, and how to increase our faith in Your faithfulness and our trust in Your reliability.

Help us to understand that we can count on Your presence within us each moment of the day. We can see the evidence of Your grace and mercy working out every situation that we will ever encounter. Thank You that You shower us with Your perfect gifts, starting with our eternal salvation, and You give us little hugs throughout each day (James 1:17).

Thought for the Day:
Regardless of what transpires in our life, God is always caring for us, protecting us from the worse consequences that could have occurred, and providing for us all of our needs; therefore, we can rejoice in all of our tribulation, knowing that God has our best interest in mind throughout everything that He allows to influence our life.
