Our Present Union with God

God's awesome presence permeates our entire being as we learn to live consciously by faith in His love. We notice our union with Him both in the silent peaceful moments, as well as in the turmoil and hardships that often swarm all around us.

We begin each day in the morning, or on the night before (Genesis 1:5, 13) with quiet times of praise, devotion and meditation on God's Word. Then, we carry that peace with us throughout the day. This allows us to radiate joy and to walk in serenity, even in the midst of our difficulties.

God uses us as a lifeline for others in need of a deeper union with Him. Even with our imperfections, our willingness is all that God requires of us. Our present union with God allows us to live in awareness of His continual blessings to us throughout the day, regardless of our situation.

As we mature into a grateful, positive person, we live a life of praise that honors our Father God. We stop taking things for granted or worrying about the unknown, and we consciously live for His glory. This positive outlook impacts our spirit, soul and body.

If we choose to make our own plans, rather than consulting the Lord (Proverbs 3:5-6), we open our self up to possible burdens, anxiety, and even emotional and mental and physical illnesses. As the Holy Spirit sanctifies us, our only goal in life is to be totally led by Him, and this brings us unprecedented fulfillment.

Living in the moment, and consulting the Lord for His plans for our day, prevents the good things that we might design from becoming the enemy of the best that God has already prepared for us to do (Ephesians 2:10).

We find joy in God's gifts to us each moment, and we live in full attentiveness to His will. We erupt in praises throughout the day, and increase our intimacy with Him with each step that we take. Our life overflows with joy and peace that is too intense to describe (peace that passes understanding).

Prayer:
Father God, remind us to practice dwelling in our present union with You. This allows us to notice the "hugs" that You send our way, to enjoy lasting fulfillment from within, to be soothed by Your peace, nourished by Your love, filled with Your joy, and affirmed in our existence in the center of Your will for us. As we perfect the art of being fully and calmly aware of Your presence within us, we carry that awareness with us even as we live life at a full run.

However, remind us to simplify our life, at the same time that we abide in Your presence. Help us to remove everything in our life that is not absolutely relevant to Your will for us. We want to empty our self of our inner clutter until we are totally void of stress and empty enough of our self to be totally filled with all of Your presence. Rather than working for You, teach us how to allow You to work in and through us.

Thought for the Day:
What is it in your life that is causing you a problem? Can you do something about it? Then, do it! If not, then we change our focus and give the problem to God to deal with in His timing and in His way; our life changes for the better only as we totally submit to the presence of the Holy Spirit within us, so that He can completely fill us with all the fullness of God.
