There is nothing that can separate us from God’s love. Neither death of a close friend or relative or ourself, other traumatic events in our life, angels, continents, not even demonic powers can separate us from His everlasting arms. Even the past and future incidents in our life are powerless to come between us and the Trinity of God.
Not the highest mountains or the deepest seas, nor any created thing can ever stand between us and God’s love for us (Romans 8:38-39). God looks forward to spending eternity with His authentic Born Again Believers – those who believe in Him shall never perish, but we will enjoy unending life with Him (John 3:16-18).
Jesus’ sacrifice on Calvary’s cross guarantees this privilege for us. He even loves us while we are still sinners (Romans 5:8). Once He sets us free from our bondage to sinful practices, we become His servants instead (1 Corinthians 7:22). He gives us His fruit of holiness. Then, once we cross over into His heavenly realm, He provides eternal life for us (Romans 6:22).
New Jerusalem – the city of God – is a cubed city that is 1500 miles in every direction. It is filled with huge, mansion-like rooms that Jesus is preparing for those who love Him. He is coming again to gather us to Himself, so that we can be with Him throughout eternity (John 14:2-3).
God dwells with us and in us. He is our permanent Father even now. In eternity, He will wipe away all our tears and remove death and sorrow from our spirit, soul, and immortal body. He will protect us from all pain, and the ache from the negative issues of our mortal life will pass away from our conscious thoughts (Revelation 21:3-4).
Prayer:
Father God, thank You that when we leave this earthly realm, we instantly enter the infinite and eternal realm of Your glory. Help us not to complicate our life by living in such a way that we put obstacles in our own way, which prevent us from obeying Your perfect plans for us. We know that You desire for us to depend solely on You for all our direction, provision, wisdom and strength; however, at times, we insist on doing things our own way (Proverbs 3:5-6; Galatians 2:20). Help us not to do this anymore.
We even errantly make our own plans to bring You glory and then ask You to bless them, rather than to walk by Your Spirit in Your ways for us (Ephesians 2:10). Thank You for Your order, peace, and joy in our life; and please remind us to seek You first so that we are guaranteed to walk in Your perfect will for us. When we drink of Your springs of living water, we never thirst for corrupt desires again (John 4:14).
Thought for the Day:
Dozens of interruptions in our day pull us away from walking in God’s plans for our life: fleeting thoughts, strong negative emotions, consumerism, overly busy schedules, satanic lies and doubts and fears, lack of energy, illness, our vocation, our children’s busy schedules, a lack of contentment, duties to our family or church family members, etc.; it is our choices that determine whether we are a slave to the calendar, or a slave to God that is free to serve Him in every divine appointment that He provides for us.
