God Loves a Grateful Heart

When we bless our Father God with a grateful and joyful heart, He maximizes His blessings to us, shares with us His glory, and multiplies our number of Believers (Jeremiah 30:19). When we seek Him with our whole heart full of thanksgiving, He gives us the victory through Jesus Christ, our Lord (1 Corinthians 1 5:57).

Sin, ingratitude, and taking Him for granted will anger the Lord; but when we repent, He forgets His anger and He comforts us. His greatest gift to us in His salvation, and He is our strength and our song. We praise Him, call on Him and exalt His name, and we tell everyone what He did and is doing for us (Isaiah 12; 1 Chronicles 29:13).

Our parents and ancestors praised Him and thanked Him in our presence for His provision for their lives. This taught us the reality of His daily care for His Saints. He provides wisdom and strength for us, and His Spirit teaches us His purposes for our life, as He draws us to want more of His intimate union in our life (Daniel 2:23).

He allows our faith to be tested by trials, and they provide us with an opportunity to give Him the praise, honor, and glory for the miracles that He plants in each one of them (1 Peter 1:7). Songs of praise and gratitude for Him erupt from our lips, and we make a continual melody to Him in our heart for His loving kindness (Ephesians 5:18-20).

We never grow weary, even when our body ages, because our spirit matures as we simplify our life and do only His will for us (Jeremiah 31:25; Galatians 6:9). He renews us with His strength day-by-day, and we store up great treasure in Heaven for eternity (2 Corinthians 4:15-17).

We exalt the God of our salvation because He lives within us and is our rock throughout our lifetime (2 Samuel 22:47). His Word richly fills us with insight, so we can teach and admonish each other. All our thoughts and actions are dedicated to Him and done in the name of the Lord with hearts full of praise and thanksgiving (Colossians 3:16-17).

Prayer:

Father God, we are so grateful to You for giving us Your Word. It helps us to understand these perilous times in which we live, so we have faith in Your faithfulness, rather than fear and worry over what may happen to us as Believers (Psalm 56:4). You bountifully provide us with all our needs (2 Corinthians 9:11-12). We burst into praise and thanksgiving to You throughout our day.

Teach us to walk in Your perfect purpose for our life, to allow our roots to sink deeper into You, and to abound with thankfulness to You for who You are and all that You do for us (Colossians 2:6-7; Ephesians 2:10). We triumph through Christ in us, and we reveal to others the blessings of Your wisdom, compassion, and provision in every area of our life (2 Corinthians 2:14).

Thought for the Day:

God is so worthy of all our praises, every moment of our day, so we sing of the mercies of the Lord in our heart now and throughout eternity, and we make His faithfulness known to every generation over whom we have influence - even creation speaks of His glory and manifold wisdom; during hardships, we thank Him anyway, and we realize they are for our good so that the abundant grace of God might, through our show of gratitude, influence many for the Kingdom and glory of God.
