Increasing Our Productivity for the Lord

Red Birds of Paradise

Taking an inventory of our body, soul and spirit is an important aspect of maintaining our overall health and well-being. If our body, soul and spirit are in sync, our productivity increases.

As we ascertain God's direction for our life, we feel more energized and joyful. This enables us to accomplish more tasks during the day, and we feel more fulfilled.

The healthier we are in spirit, soul and body, the more radiant we appear in our countenance and body language. It is easy to discover our thoughts throughout the day, but listening to our spirit and body take a bit more concentration.

Subtle physical symptoms alert us to our body's needs. Negative emotions are red flags to clue us in to our physical needs, such as: exhaustion, illness, thirst, hunger, the need for elimination or maybe more oxygen in our lungs, etc.

We can avoid many negative emotions simply by acquiring the proper amount of healthy food, water, exercise, sleep and short rest breaks throughout the day.

Rather than popping pain killers, we can combat the inflammation that causes most of our pain by using tart cherry juice (Cherry Flex liquid, made by Brownwood Acres).

Instead of taking antibiotics, we can use Echinacea or another natural remedy (garlic, onions, grapefruit, vitamin C, local honey, cinnamon, apple cider vinegar, ginger, eucalyptus oil, colloidal silver).

Connecting with God's creation in the garden, along the bike or walking path, with houseplants, strolling barefoot in the grass, etc. all help us to detoxify our body, soul and spirit.

When we resolve any issues that we have, and keep an open communication with our Lord each moment of the day, we actually feel happier and at peace.

We achieve what God plans for our day as we slow down and pay attention to the guidance of God's Holy Spirit through each task that He leads us to perform.

Prayer:
Father God, David danced before You in praise for Your help in defeating his enemies in battle. We too can hum or sing and dance as we dust, vacuum, stir food on the stove, fold laundry, drive to our next appointment, accomplish tasks at work, etc. This simple act of praise lifts our attitude and gets our blood pumping.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made by You (Psalm 139:14). Help us to stay in tune to our body, soul and spirit and to meet our needs in the same way that we help others to meet their needs. Paying attention to the sensations of our body, soul and spirit, which we experience each moment of the day, allows us to hear Your advice on how best to minister to our self and to others.

Thought for the Day:
To increase our productivity we can eat whole foods, breathe deeply, walk in the Spirit, focus on the joy God provides, and find out what God is planning for us as we obey His direction throughout our day.
