Life is hard to bear at times. Just living through a normal day can leave us frayed, overwhelmed, uncertain, crushed, devastated and aching. We teeter on hopelessness, and we yearn for more out of life.
At
this junction, we can either pull our self up by our bootstraps, and force our self
to continue putting one foot in front of the other, or we can consult the Lord
and walk in His ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Our
value in life does not come from other people, our possessions, or our talents
and accomplishments (Ephesians 2:7-8); but from God's Spirit living in and
working through us (Colossians 1:27).
In God's Economy, He has a perfect plan for our life, and we simply walk in it one moment at a time
(Ephesians 2:10). He cherishes us, and we are precious in His sight (Psalm
103:13-14). He rejoices over us with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).
Our
failings and idiosyncrasies do not affect God's unconditional love for us. His
presence residing in our life is our truest treasure, and He uses us to show
the world His amazing power and wisdom (2 Corinthians 4:7).
God
graciously gives us everything that we need to abound in every good work to
which He calls us during our entire lifetime (Romans 8:32; Ephesians 2:10).
When we were at our lowest point, Christ died for us, even while sin still
flourished in our thoughts, words and deeds (Romans 5:6-8).
God
is rich in mercy, and His love for us abounds beyond anything we can imagine.
We live in Christ, and we function in God's heavenly realm (Ephesians 2:4-6).
He constantly cares for the birds of the air, and we are even more valuable to
Him than they are (Matthew 6:26).
Prayer:
Father
God, thank You for the abundance of Your mercy and grace toward us each and
every day. You love us, cherish us and we are precious and honored in Your
sight (Isaiah 43:4). Your kindness and love for us caused You to save us, wash
us of our sins, and rebirth our spirit by the renewal of Your Holy Spirit
(Titus 3:4-5).
Thank
You for generously pouring out Your Spirit on us to guide us and comfort us
throughout our lifetime. We are so grateful to You for justifying us by our
grace, and allowing us to live both now and for eternity as heirs of Your
promises (Titus 3:6-7). You are our King, and we serve at Your pleasure.
Thought
for the Day:
Our
Heavenly Father looks forward to the day of our death more than the day of our
birth, so that we can come and spend eternity with Him. - Psalm 116:15
