A Grateful Attitude

Keeping track in a notebook, or on slips of paper in a heart-shaped box or a glass jar, or through pictures in an album, etc. of all the positive blessings that God always gives His children, during the best of times, as well as the worst of times, is a grand way of keeping a continual positive attitude as well as praises on our lips for our wondrous Father God.

Through hard times, such as a worldwide pandemic or a personal loss, we learn to be content during every situation, regardless of our trials, issues and circumstances. We learn the secret of a happy and fulfilled life, full of praise through the lean times and the blessed times, and we abound with gratitude equally the same (Philippians 4:11-12).

Over our lifetime, we learn the strategy of rejoicing always, praying without ceasing, and living with gratitude in our heart for our Lord and Savior. Regardless of our issues, we realize that we are living in the center of God’s will for us in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

Our church family loves and supports one another in every possible way, and we pour out words of gratitude to our Creator God. This ensures that He will supply all of our needs through His glorious riches (Philippians 4:19).

Eliminating any negative attitudes from our thoughts will increase our positive emotions as well. Living in an attitude of prayer every moment of every day will allow God’s Spirit to direct our every thought, word and action. He will use us for His glory both through our positive demeanor and our faithful trust in Him.

Prayer:

Father God, remind us to bless Your name at all times, and for our praises for You to flow continually from every facet of our soul – thoughts, feelings and choices (Psalm 34:1). Our soul is like a little child within us (Psalm 131:2), and we want to nourish every part of our spirit, soul and body during the lean times as well as during the plentiful times.

We trust in You with our whole heart, and we refuse to rely on our human understanding of the times in which we are living (Proverbs 3:5-6). We make our boast in You, Lord, and the humble will hear of our attitude and bless You as well (Psalm 34:2-9). You supply all of our needs through Your abundant riches, and we do not lack any good thing that we need (Philippians 4:19). You are our Father of Light, and every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17).

Thought for the Day:

Everywhere, and in every way, we acknowledge the goodness of the Lord to us with profound gratitude and we sing to Him, as His Gospel dwells within us with all of its richness; we receive His unshakable wisdom, peace, joy and Kingdom with reverence and awe, as we are rooted in and built up in Him, and as He establishes us in the faith of the Son of God who abides within us.
