Salvation is a free gift from God (Romans 3:23, 6:23). When we make a public profession of the work of Christ in our life, and authentically believe in our heart that God actually raised Him from the dead, God’s Spirit moves into our spirit and regenerates our life (Romans 10:9-10).
No one can see the Kingdom of God unless we are Born Again. When we are born in the natural by water, and then experience the second birth by the Spirit of God, we are then eligible to enter into the Kingdom of God and to experience firsthand the wondrous blessings of God throughout our life (John 3:3-5)
As we walk in this light of Christ in our life, we will have fellowship both with God and other Believers. The blood of Jesus’ sacrifice on Calvary’s cross cleanses us from all of our sin – past, current, and future (1 John 1:7). We receive forgiveness from God, and we give clemency to others.
We cannot reach this state of fulfillment, contentment and inner peace through our thoughts, words or behavior. There is no deed that we can do that will provide us the joy that a relationship with God affords us. He cleanses us from carnal desires and renews us by His Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5).
When we are Born Again, we no longer keep on sinning. God protects us and gives us a way to escape every temptation offered to us by satanic forces (1 John 5:18). We do not continue sinning, as those who have not truly met our Savior or known Him in a personal, intimate relationship (1 John 3:6).
Sin is a ploy of the devil to keep us on the wide road that leads to destruction (Matthew 7:13-14). Jesus came to destroy the influence that Satan has over this earth and every human who dwells here for any length of time. Jesus sets us free, and we are free indeed (John 8:36).
Prayer:
Father God, thank You for distinguishing us from those who choose to keep Satan as their master and to live in unbelief (John 3:18). We ask You, though, to strengthen their inner being, so that they too can choose Your free gift of salvation, in order to enjoy the stress-free life of living as Your child (Ephesians 3:16).
Help us to make a practice of living righteously as Your child, rather than rejecting holy living, loving our self more than others, and refusing to be born again by Your Spirit (1 John 3:10). We look forward to abiding in Your Kingdom both now and throughout eternity. We give You praise and honor for who You are, for what You mean to us, and for what You do for us each day of our life.
Thought for the Day:
Living in the will of God removes the stress and strain of life, even of the ever-present stormy trials, which constantly assail us; once we are born of God, we are no longer enticed to practice sin anymore, because the seed of God’s Spirit abides within us.
