One of the aspects of God’s nature that continually comforts us is that He is the same: yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He does not vacillate like shifting shadows (James 1:17), nor does He change in His thoughts, purposes or plans (Malachi 3:6).
God is always the same - all the way through our lifetime and even throughout eternity (Psalm 102:27). He has perpetual dominion over the universe (1 Timothy 6:16). He never leaves us or forsakes us, because He is always devoted to us, is merciful towards us, and loves us unconditionally (Deuteronomy 31:6; 136:7).
Regardless of our experiences in life, we can cry out to Him, and He will deliver us (Psalm 107:6). On our mountaintop experiences and in our deepest valleys, His unfailing love makes us sure-footed and courageous, as long as we maintain our focus on Him and not on our circumstance.
Our Father God deserves all of our praises and gratitude for all that He did, is doing, and will accomplish on our behalf. He even satisfies the thirsty, and He fills the hungry soul with good things to eat (Psalm 107:8-9).
We can trust that God goes before us, is with us always, and abides within us; therefore, we have no need to ever experience fear or discouragement. We can be strong and fearless, resisting the temptation to feel terrified or worried, because the Trinity of God is always inside of us (Deuteronomy 31:6-8).
Prayer:
Father God, Your unchanging attributes as well as Your unconditional love wrap us in a warm blanket of peace regardless of our circumstances. As we focus on each moment in time, we see that You are meeting our needs, strengthening us with courage, and filling us with the peace of Your purpose for this latest trial in our life.
We never have to worry or fret about our issues overpowering us, because You walk ahead of us, clearing our path. You have a solution for every concern, and You resolve every problem – sometimes before we even get a chance to clarify the matter in our mind and then pray about it. We know that we can always leave everything in Your capable hands, because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7).
Thought for the Day:
Once we commit our day to the Lord, and trust in Him alone, He will be strong for us and in us, and He will work through us to minister to those around us; even when we are poor and needy, the Lord thinks of us, delivers us, and sustains us; therefore we have no need to worry or to fear what may happen to us.
