God’s Plans for Us

God’s mercy is higher than the heavens, His faithfulness reaches to the clouds, His righteousness is like mighty mountains, His judgments are deeper than the oceans, and He preserves both humans and beasts by His goodness and grace (Psalm 36:5-6). He fills our life with blessings, and we daily rejoice in Him and continually sing His praises.

God is faithful to pardon every repentant sinner by His gracious and merciful kindness. He is slow to anger, and He always sends a warning before He ever send judgment on a nation or person who refuses to walk in His ways. That is why He detained His second coming for so long – to give everyone a chance to choose to walk in His ways (Nehemiah 9:17; 1 Timothy 2:4-6; 2 Peter 3:9).

Our help only comes from God. Since they are imperfect human beings, people will fail us and let us down, break their promises to us, disappoint us, and even hurt us from time to time. However, God’s love never fails us. He made heaven and earth, and nothing is too hard for Him (1 Corinthians 13:8-11; Jeremiah 32:17, 27-35; Psalm 121:2, Psalm 136).

God may not work out everything in our life as we expect Him to, but we will soon see that His plans for us are greater than anything we could ever imagine (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). If we are patient in our trust and secure in our faith in Him, He unfolds His will for our life one moment at a time (Ephesians 2:10).

As our choices honor the Lord, He delights in our way. Though we may fall, we will never be utterly cast down, because God holds us up with His right hand. As we age in life, we see a pattern unfold that surrounds the life of authentic Born Again Believers. The righteous are never forsaken, and thousands of our generations after us never have to beg for provision, because God sustains us all (Psalm 37:23-34, 105:8; Exodus 20:6; Deuteronomy 7:9).

Prayer:

Father God, thank You for loving us and manifesting Yourself to us as we prove our love for You by keeping Your commandments (John 14:15-31; 1 John 5:3). You love us because we love Jesus, Your only begotten Son, and He loves us as well (John 14:21). We give thanks to You, the God of all gods and the Lord of lords, because Your mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:2-3). You heal the brokenhearted by binding up our wounds (Psalm 147:3).

Your love constrains us and keeps us on Your straight and narrow road that leads us to eternal life (Matthew 7:13-14). Your love sent Your only begotten Son to die for us all and to live again, in order to pay the debt, which we owed for our sins against You. Help us not to live for our self any longer, but to submit to Your Spirit who abides in us and to be open to You working through us (2 Corinthians 5:14-16). We live to bring praise and glory to Your name.

Thought for the Day:

Prior to our salvation through Christ alone, we refused to obey God’s precepts and we were blind to His wonderful works that He provided for us each and every day. We hardened our hearts to His Truth and followed after worldly fables and satanic lies. This kept us in bondage to sin and captive of its hold over us. However, once we repent of these self-centered ways, He grasps us in His arms and never lets us go.
