We
used to be of our father, the devil (John 8:44). At salvation, we are crucified
with Christ, nevertheless we are still human. Yet, we do not plan our life, but
Christ lives His life through us, because He lives in us (Galatians 2:20).
The
life that we now live as a human being is lived by the faith of Jesus, who
loves us and gave His life for us. He will take care of all of our needs by
giving us His wisdom and power to solve every issue and to meet every necessity
(Matthew 6:33; 1 Peter 5:7).
Through
Christ in us, we are acceptable to God, a workman that does not need to be
ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15). Each of us has a spot in the Kingdom of God in which
to serve at the pleasure of our King Jesus.
We
do not need to give our self another moment of our attention. We can totally
focus on Christ in us and follow the leading of His Spirit each moment of the
day.
There
is no need to work for God (Ephesians 2:7-9), but simply to allow Him to work
through us to accomplish His will for us each and every day (Ephesians 2:10). Jesus
is our all in all; He is the center of our whole life (Colossians 3:11;
Colossians 3:4).
God
uses us in our vocation, our neighborhood, our family, our community, our
church family, etc. in order to achieve His will. We function in the spiritual
realm and we walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:15-25).
His
strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Through Him, we
can accomplish every good work which He designed for us to accomplish
(Ephesians 2:10).
We
work out our own salvation, but it is God who gives us the desire and the
wisdom to do this. He effectively works out our salvation in us through His
presence in our life (Philippians 2:12-13).
Prayer:
Father
God, thank You for raising us up in Christ and seating us with Him in Your
heavenly realm (Ephesians 2:6). We so enjoy our union with Your Trinity -
blessed by Your love, awed by Jesus' sacrifice, and thankful for the guidance
of Your Spirit each moment of every day.
Thank
You also for our communion with the body and blood of Jesus that cleanses us
from our sinful, carnal nature and gives us His righteousness in exchange (1
Corinthians 10:16-17). Our union with You is the basis for our beliefs and our practices
in our body, soul and spirit.
Thought
for the Day:
Jesus
actually became sin for every human ever born, so that we can partake in a
union with God's Trinity every day of our life. -
2 Corinthians 5:21
