Divine Power

Greater is God’s Trinity within us, than any person or spiritual power around us (1 John 4:4). We do not use human resources, but His divine power to combat anything that comes against us. No argument, worldly opinion, or spiritual power can influence or overcome the knowledge of God.

If we submit our thoughts to the power of God within us, we have no need to worry or to allow fear to cripple us (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). If we watch TV broadcasts, we are more apt to have fears that plague us; however, we are able to chose to avoid corruption, and to prevent our ears from hearing about trauma, and to close our eyes from seeing immoral behavior (Isaiah 33:15-16).

We give honor to God where it is due, trust in Him with our whole heart rather than just a part of it, and realize that He is our ever-present refuge in any time of trouble (Proverbs 3:5-15; Psalm 46:1-2). This allows God’s Spirit to provide for all our needs, to keep us in peace, and to be our defense (Isaiah 26:3).

We must guard our heart from the influence of the world and evil spiritual powers (1 Timothy 6:3). They use lies and fear to control us. They utilize propaganda, and sensuous and malicious words to destroy our peace and our trust that God is in control of every event occurring around us (Proverbs 17:4; Proverbs 15:3, 16:4; Isaiah 46:9-10).

People with selfish motives speak lies and promote trouble, cease to act wisely and do good. They stir up problems, do not reject evil practices, and set their course on paths that do not promote good (Psalm 36:3-4). They have a ravenous appetite for power and worldly acclaim, and they never have enough. They have no consideration for others but seek only their own gain (Isaiah 56:11).

Prayer:

Father God, the evil in this world is rampant, and the people have no restraint because they have no revelation of You and Your purposes (Proverbs 29:18). Your desire is to correct them with gentleness, but they resist You in all your ways. You are drawing them to repentance, but their free will chooses to reject You and the knowledge of Your Truth (2 Timothy 2:25-26).

We pray that they come to their senses and escape the lies of the world and the bondage of satanic forces. They fall prey to those who speak deceptive words with the tongue of serpents, just like Satan in the garden with Adam and Eve. Guard us from the hands of the wicked, preserve us from the evil in the world, and prevent us from being tricked and tripped by their lying tongues (Psalm 140:3-4).

Thoughts for the Day:

In this world that often frightens us, we can seek the Lord and continually trust in His powerful attributes. He gives His authentic Born Again Believers His strength, authority over demonic activity, and guards them from permanent injury. Since He abides within us, He goes with us through every battle we ever face in life; in fact, He plants the seed for a miracle in every ordeal that we face.
