Freely Justified

Through His grace God shows the way of salvation to everyone ever born - even in nature (Romans 1:20 - see cross in photo link below). We are saved by His grace through our faith in Him. We cannot earn it by any means because it is God’s gift to us. Otherwise, we could boast of what we attained (Ephesians 2:8-9).

God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). When we are weak, God gives us His strength (Titus 2:11). Due to Jesus’ sacrifice for us on Calvary’s cross, sin and the law do not rule over us. Instead, we submit to the will of God for our life (Romans 6:14). We come boldly to His throne and receive mercy and grace in our times of need (Hebrews 4:16).

God made us, and His Spirit sanctifies us with the mind and character of Jesus (2 Thessalonians 2;13). We are freely justified by Jesus’ redemptive work (Romans 3:24). His grace gives us the strength to abundantly labor for His Kingdom and has nothing to do with our individual talents and the works accomplished in our human strength (1 Corinthians 15:10).

Praying the Word of God brings more meaning to our time with Him and lifts up our spirit due to the anointing in these words. For instance, the prayers at the end of every post I submit on my devotional blog have scripture references and are inspired by God’s Word.

As His adopted children, we can pray for our self as well as others that the Holy Spirit brings to our mind. Even if we have no idea how their life is going, God’s Spirit burdens us to pray and gives us the words to petition Him on their behalf by the faith we have in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial love for us all (Colossians 1:4)

Prayer:

Thank You, Lord, that Your goodness and mercy follow us each day of our life and that we will dwell in Your house forever (Psalm 23:6). Your grace is sufficient for us, and Your strength is perfected in our weaknesses. We adopt Your attitude that we would rather work from our infirmities so that the power of Christ may rest on us (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). We always thank You for who You are and for what You did and are doing in our life (Colossians 1:3).

Your grace brings us salvation and is evident in the earth all around us (Titus 2:11; Romans 1:20). When we call out to You by faith, You answer us, and You show us the great and mighty truths that we do not see with the understanding of our human eyes (Jeremiah 33:3). We abound in the hope, and the love of Jesus Christ. Your true gospel bears fruit in our life from the day we accept for our self the sacrifice Jesus made for us all (Colossians 1:4-6)

Thoughts for the Day:

As we walk in the Spirit and do not follow the temptations of our flesh, or the world, or the devil, we live a life that is pleasing to God in every way. His power gives us wisdom, patience, endurance, and strength in every area of our life to fulfill His calling for us. He allows us to share in the divine inheritance with Jesus and all the Saints from all the ages of time.
