Jesus is God

White Wooden Panel

Jesus is not only God's Son, but He is also part of the Trinity, the Godhead. He is the Word, who came in the flesh to save us from the penalty of our sins (John 1:1-14).

Jesus Himself said to His disciples, "If you know me, you know my Father; if you've seen me, you have seen the Father" (John 14:7-9). Yet, Jesus spent time alone conversing with our Father (Luke 6:12, 22:44).

This is a human conundrum, until we realize that we are created in the image of the Trinity. We are body, soul and spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23), and we chat with our self too.

The all-powerful Jesus, who calmed the storm, created the universe, and died on Calvary's tree, lives within us (Luke 8:24; Genesis 1:26; Colossians 1:27). He yokes up with us to help us through all the tribulation we will ever face (Matthew 11:28-30).

If we spend quality time with the Trinity in our prayer life, and gain the power, anointing, peace and joy which God offers to us, we can overcome every trial that comes our way (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

In fact, as we pray without ceasing, we realize that God cares about every moment of our life. He has a perfect plan for us in each one of them (Proverbs 3:5-6; Galatians 5:15 -25).

As we walk in the Spirit, He directs our steps, even to the point of what we should eat and drink (1 Corinthians 10:31). We abide in our quiet place within our spirit and experience all of life from this protected place.

Praise is the perfect companion to prayer. Showing gratitude to Almighty God for the personal blessings and miracles that He supplies to us each moment of every day is the least we can do for Him.

We do not need a world-class voice to offer our praises. Singing and making melody in our heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19) is all that He asks of us. God inhabits our praises (Psalm 22:3), and He even rejoices over us with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).

Prayer:
Father God, at times I cannot believe that You are so aware of each and every one of us that You account for the number of hair on everyone's head (Luke 12:7). We can place our cares on Your shoulders, because You actually care for us all (1 Peter 5:7). You even took the form of a human in order to pay the penalty of our sins.

The Trinity is a mystery to the human mind, but we know that You are one God with three functions. We thank You so much for planning such an awesome universe in which we can live with You; for dying in our place as the Son, so that we may dwell with You for eternity; and for filling us as the Spirit and sanctifying us with Your fruit.

Thought for the Day:
The government is on Jesus' shoulder; He is not only King and Lord, but He is also our Mighty God and our Everlasting Father. - Isaiah 9:6
