When
we feel negative emotions, they are often enmeshed in Satan's lies planted in
us during times of negative experiences. We allow these lies to rule our life,
because they affect our soul - our thoughts, emotions and choices.
God's Truth
sets us free from every negative thought and experience that we ever encounter
in this sin-cursed world in which we live. Christ in us - the only real life,
truth and way - protects us from internalizing the pain and conflict, which we
experience.
Trusting in
God guards us from the need to defend our self and the futile exercise of
attempting to control life in order to try to prevent our self from
experiencing the negative consequences of daily living (2 Thessalonians 3:16).
We no longer
wrestle with debilitating emotions such as bitterness, anger and depression,
which tie us up in knots and prevent us from experiencing the totality of
freedom, which we can enjoy in our life in Christ (John 8:36).
When
we are feeling fearful, abandoned, unloved, worried, stressed, anxious,
helpless, powerless, hopeless or worthless, it is because of our lie-based
beliefs and not because of our circumstances.
When we live in God's peace and truth, they produce emotions such
as: peace, joy, assurance, confidence and contentment. The peace of Christ
rules in our heart and satisfies our soul (Colossians 3:15).
With Jesus
as our Savior and Lord living within us, He brings with Him the wisdom of the
ages and the spiritual revelation that make our life more fulfilled and
successful (Ephesians 1:17-18).
Prayer:
Father God, we want to daily
contemplate Your goodness, majesty, power, mercy, love, wisdom, justice and
sovereignty. We are attempting to walk in a different dimension than unsaved
humanity. Remind us that our values and purpose are centered on Your Kingdom
and not on the issues and covetousness of this earth. We groan with all of
creation in eagerly waiting for our manifestation as Your sons (Romans 8:19).
We look to You to supply us
with the spiritual resources to perform supernatural feats, according to Your
perfect will for us, as we interact in our daily activities with family, church,
work and community. When the love we feel for our fellow mankind springs from
our love for You and from You, it is more committed and unconditional; and it bears
spiritual fruit.

God's truth
fills us with His knowledge, His spiritual wisdom and His Heavenly
understanding, which sets us free from the limitations of carnal living; this allows
us to walk in a worthy manner which pleases Him in every way, and allows us to
produce fruit in all of our thoughts, words and deeds.
