Our
Higher Power existed before He created time and matter, and He will live into
infinity and beyond. Once we humble our self, ask for forgiveness of our sins,
and make a commitment to live for God, we enter into His eternal plans for the
future (Job 36:26).
Our
body is the temple of God's Holy Spirit (Romans 12:1). We offer our self as a
living sacrifice to accomplish His will and purpose for our life here and now
(Ephesians 2:10).
Therefore,
we make a commitment to care for our body with enough rest, proper nutrition
and daily exercise (1 Corinthians 10:31). This allows us to walk more freely in
the will of God for each moment of our day.
At
times, we are so concerned and worried about a commitment or responsibility,
which we promised to keep, that we make our self sick. Rather than to overly
commit our self, God wants us to walk in His perfect will for us.
We
consult Him before we make any plans (Proverbs 3:5-6). This allows us to wait
on His timing and to seek His ways, so that we rise up with wings like eagles
and we can accomplish His work without growing weary (Isaiah 41:31).
Our
Higher Power is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end (Revelation
22:13). Our loving Protector never slumbers or sleeps (Psalm 121:4). He has a
perfect plan for each of us, and He never leaves or forsakes us (Ephesians
2:10; Hebrews 13:5).
God
is never weary of keeping watch over His Saints (Isaiah 40:28). His infinite
wisdom defies our carnal reasoning. We can trust Him with every detail of our
life as we seek His will for each moment of our time (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Our
Higher Power rides on the wings of the wind in His majestic grandeur, He is our
ever present help in time of need (Psalm 104:3), and He holds us in His
everlasting arms (Deuteronomy 33:26-27). We can trust Him with every detail of
our life, because He is from everlasting to everlasting (Psalm 90:2).
Prayer:
Father
God, Your greatness is eternal, and Your truth endures through all generations
(Psalm 119:90, 145:3). We trust in You rather than in our human effort, and we
believe in Your unlimited wisdom and grace for those who trust in You (Lamentations
3:23).
We
always want to live in Your ways, and to serve You with every ounce of our
energy and every fiber of our being. We are so grateful to You for Your everlasting
care over every aspect of our life. We appreciate Your divine intervention in
our mistakes and that Your love covers a multitude of our sins (1 Peter 4:8).
Thought
for the Day:
As
we listen to the Lord's direction in our life and walk in His ways, He protects
us from the diseases in our world today, because He is our Higher Power and He
cares for us. - Exodus 15:26
