The Source of Our Fulfillment

King Solomon, in all of his wisdom, discovered at the end of his life that absolutely everything on this earth is finite and will never ever bring us fulfillment - and you can read that he had absolutely everything this world has to offer.

No person, place, possession, ideology or religion can ever satisfy our human needs. Nothing and no one is perfectly matched to our empty space within, and we only frustrate our soul by continually looking to this world's meager benefits and advantages to provide our needs.

On the other hand, an intimate relationship with the Trinity of God will meet all of our physical, emotional, financial, mental, and spiritual needs. The Trinity provides us with an abundance in every area, and we have no lack (Psalm 23:1).

God's love completes us from the inside out. His joy is our strength, and His love is our Rock on which we solidly stand during the tempests of life.

We laugh in the face of adversity, because God is on His throne, and He abides in us by His Holy Spirit (James 1:2-3; Psalm 47:8; 1 John 4:16). Not one aspect of this sin-cursed earth can shake us, because He holds us in His hands (John 10:28).

We have a mate, best friends, and family members who attempt to know and understand us; but, at times, we cannot even know or understand our self. Our Creator God is the only one who knew us before we were knitted together in our mother's womb (Psalm 139:2, 14).

God completely understands the root of our thoughts, feelings and actions; and He will enlighten us too, if we will be still and acknowledge that He is our God (Psalm 46:10; Proverbs 3:5-6). Our Father God is the only source for our affirmation, provision and sense of our well-being.

Prayer:
Father God, thank You for formulating a plan of success and fulfillment for our life before we were ever born (Ephesians 2:10; Jeremiah 29:11). We will not rely on anything of this world to bring us fulfillment and satisfaction, because only You, as our Creator, Supplier, Defender, Comforter and Friend (John 15:15), are capable of meeting our deepest needs.

We can lose people, as well as the riches and supply of this world, but You never, ever leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). You are our life, our all in all (Colossians 3:4; Ephesians 4:6). You love us with an unconditional and eternal love that took You to the cross on our behalf. You are our one, true Love (Jeremiah 31:3; Romans 5:8; Ephesians 3:17-19).

Thought for the Day:
Only God can provide us with the love that we desire, search for and sell all that we have in our attempt to obtain it; because He knows what we need before we even realize that we need it.
