God's Power, Wisdom and Strength within Us

God gives those He calls an assuring hope and a valuable and glorious inheritance. He floods our soul with His light to help us to understand all that He prepared for us before we were even born (Ephesians 1:18-19).

His amazing greatness and dynamite power that raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him on God's right hand in the heavenly Kingdom are ours as we trust in and believe in Him (Colossians 1:29). We walk in Christ's authority, because He abides within us (Ephesians 1:19-21).

We no longer labor and struggle with our work for the Lord, or rely on our own strength and abilities. We access His power that works in us and gives us the ability to do everything which He calls us to do (Philippians 4:13).

The tragedy in life is that we rarely use these extraordinary gifts. We wander aimlessly, pushed about by various circumstances, and guided by human philosophy rather than the Word of God.

We tire easily, and we get discouraged, weary, depressed and bitter. We subsist with a carnal perspective on life, and we rarely achieve any gift of eternal value to offer back to God. However, as members of His Body, we walk in His fullness (Ephesians 1:23).

When we utilize His power within us, He gives us clear direction, and He helps us to focus on His will and to accomplish all that He planned for us. Christ in us will actually put to flight every enemy that comes against us.

He uses His power to strengthen us, to help us to continue trusting Him in our daily walk, and to support us as we accomplish His will for our lives. In our self, we can do nothing; but in Christ, all things are possible (Romans 7:18; Philippians 4:13; Matthew 19:26).

Prayer:
Father God, Your path for our life varies from day to day and is confusing at times, but we continue to rely on You to always provide us with both the will and the power to accomplish all that You call on us to do (Philippians 2:13). Remind us that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:30).

We find great fulfillment in life only as we fall more intimately in love with You each day, and keep You as the center of our focus. From You, through You, and to You are all things (Romans 11:36). We thank You for equipping us with all that we need to accomplish Your will in and through our life.

Thought for the Day:
God enlightens the eyes of our heart, and produces in us, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him, so that we may give Him all the glory and honor forever and ever.
