Prior
to any trial in our life, we can make a commitment to trust God with the
outcome of each one. We rely on His power, maintain our faith in His
faithfulness, and trust Him for the ultimate victory over every obstacle, which
Satan, our flesh, and the world send hurling our way.
As
Saints of God, created according to His will, we can trust that His plans for
our life are perfect. Regardless of the circumstances, if we walk according to
the will of God for us, by the guidance of His Holy Spirit, all things will
work together for our ultimate good (Romans 8:28).
The
battles in life belong to the Lord, and it is our attitude through each one of
them that determines their outcome. A positive outlook (Philippians 4:8) helps
everything to take on a cheerful hue of color that transcends the gloom of
every negative event.
God's
plans for us are perfect in every way. We fear the unknown, but we have no need
to be afraid of our Heavenly Father's direction for our life. The wildest Bush
village in Africa, the deepest forest in Brazil, the most crowded and vile city
in America cannot defeat us when God calls us.
We
step out in faith, knowing that we are victors over every obstacle, and safe
and secure in His love, peace, joy and protection. We traverse each day with
prayer and fall asleep every night with His praises on our lips.
Laughter
is good medicine, and God inhabits the praises of His people. With these two
tools in our toolbox, we draw near to God and satanic forces flee from our
presence (James 4:7-10). Stress and anxiety flee in the face of our union with
God's Trinity.
Prayer:
Father
God, teach us that there is actually spiritual power in praise. It opens doors
for us that no man can close (John 4:23; Psalm 100), overcomes discouragement
that attempts to cripple us, increases our faith and spiritual power, and
chases away the illusive causes of depression. We enter every spiritual
skirmish fully clothed in Your armor, and we are safely covered during any
battle (Ephesians 6:10-18).
We
praise You for Your presence in our life, for Your purpose for our life, and
for Your provision for all of our needs before they even arise. You are our
benevolent Father, and we have so much for which to praise You. Thank you especially
for Your Son, who is our Rock of defense, our Living Water, our Lion of Judah,
and our perfect sacrificial Lamb.
Thought
for the Day:
As
we look for the seed for a miracle that God plants in every trial, we know that
the battle is already won; it may take a while for us to see the fulfillment of
the issue, but we have confidence in knowing that the great I AM is on our
side, and will work out everything by His power and authority for our ultimate
good.
