Meet My Best Friend

landscape photography of body of water against mountain

I would like to introduce you to my best friend. He was born on the poor side of town, the only natural son of his father, with several half-brothers and sisters, who did not respect or admire him. In fact, he only had a few friends and most people ignored or despised him.

He was actually conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin. He lived in poverty, and had no distinguishing characteristics or major accomplishments in his early years. Yet, as a boy, he stunned theologians with his spiritual knowledge and wisdom.

Initially, he was rich; yet for our sakes, he became poor. He slept in another man's stable, rode another man's donkey, and was buried in another man's grave. He became the Son of Man, so that we might become the Children of God.

As a man, he changed the world. He healed without medicine, and fed thousands from one boy's lunch - not once, but twice. Even demons obey him, and he gave life back to some who were already dead. He ruled over natural atmospheric elements and even quieted the raging sea.

As an adult, he was falsely accused, jailed and sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit. By His suffering and death, He completely paid for the sins of all who believe in him. He set us free from the certain judgment for our own choices, and the eternal condemnation that we deserve.

Satan could not stop him. The grave could not hold Him. He suffered the price of the evil of the whole human race in both his body and soul. Having fully satisfied God's perfect justice with his death, he conquered death for all of us, and he rose to life three days later, just like he said he would.

If you ever told a lie, if you ever had an insincere thought, if you ever felt lust for someone other than your mate, you need what He has to offer you. For the last 2,000 years, every man, woman and child has been confronted with the question of who He really is: the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Thought for the Day:
Now it is your turn to recognize Him too. Would you like to meet my friend? I would love to introduce you to Jesus Christ right now. Email me at: kathleenbrdly@gmail.com. I care about you. God bless you, Kat Bradley
