Redemption’s Story

Jesus shared in our humanity in order for His crucifixion, death, and resurrection to break satanic power over us which held us in slavery to Satan (Hebrews 2:14-15). As we share with others about our redemption through Jesus and the multitude of blessings that accompanies a life in Christ, the humble will hear our story and want the same thing for their life (Psalm 34:2-9, 69:32).

All God’s commandments are trustworthy and established forever and ever (Psalm 111:6-7). When we call on the name of Jesus for salvation (Romans 10:13), He hears us and does not reject our cries for help, but He removes our fears, redeems our life, and takes up our offenses and cause as His own (Lamentations 3:44-60).

Our heavenly Father continually shows the power of His work through creation (Romans 2:20) and through His adopted children. He is faithful and loving, but also fair to discipline us for our protection from sliding back into the bondage of our flesh, the world, and the devil. All creation rejoices in Him and looks forward to the revelation of His converted children (Isaiah 44:21-23; Romans 8:19-22).

God provided redemption for His Saints and makes a covenant with us that is constant and eternal. The great “I Am” is holy and amazing (Psalm 111:8-9). He establishes His precepts in the redeemed forever, and His Spirit sanctifies us so that we are an example of His nature and character (Psalm 112:3; 2 Peter 1:3-4).

Jesus is our righteousness, holiness, and redemption (1 Corinthians chapters 28-31). Our heavenly Father gives eternal life to His redeemed through Jesus Christ alone. The humble will hear this Good News and be glad (Psalm 34:2-9). If we believe in Jesus as our salvation, we are not condemned by our unbelief, but we have everlasting life (John 3:16-18).

Prayer:

Father God, we can never thank You enough for including the Gentiles as part of Your family. You have given us over 2000 years to hear Your Gospel of Jesus Christ and to claim Your salvation as our own. We rejoice to know that You did not break Your promise with Abraham, but that You also made a way through Jesus for everyone in the world to believe in Your saving grace.

Thank You that Your Holy Spirit is sanctifying us and conforming us with the mind of Christ more each day. We love You, we humbly submit to Your Truth, and we commit to walk in Your ways (John 14:21). Your redemption for us through the blood of Jesus, Your forgiveness of our transgression of Your laws, and the sufficiency of Your grace that You provide for us each and every day, is what sustains us in the sin-cursed world. We look forward to worshipping You all the days of our life now and throughout eternity.

Thoughts for the Day:

God made a covenant with Abraham that is never broken regardless of the unrighteousness of his descendants throughout the ages of time. During Jesus day, God opened His heart to include the Gentiles in this covenant as well (Galatians 3:13-14). However, when the times of the Gentiles is over (Romans 11:25), God will send 12,000 evangelists from each of the tribes of Israel to go out into the world to bring the concept of salvation through Christ to the Jews one more time (Revelation 7:4-12).
