Flooded with God’s Presence

God wants to gift us, from His rich storehouse of blessings, with strength for our inner being, which he reinforces with the mighty power of His Holy Spirit who abides within us. Through our trust in Him by faith, He makes a permanent home in our heart.

This allows us to send our roots down deep in His love and for our faith to firmly plant on the security of His love for us. He gives us His ability to grasp, with all His devoted Saints, the intensity of His love, which is multifaceted with breadth, length, depth, and height (Romans 8:38-39; Ephesians 3:18).

We come to know by experience the love that Jesus had for us in His willingness to pay our sin debt in our place, as well as to give us His righteousness in exchange. This goes well beyond our mere mental understanding and becomes a daily encounter in our life.

Over our lifetime, He fills us through our entire being with the fullness of His presence and the intensity of His unity with us. He gives us the deepest portion of His divine presence, and we become a body fully flooded with God Himself (Ephesians 3:16-19, Amplified Bible).

As we walk in His Spirit, things of this life have no more control over our life, and we do not desire to partake in sinful activities that break God’s heart each time we do them. We do not want to displease Him with any thought, word, or deed. We especially do not want to crucify Him again with our behavior (Hebrew 6:6).

The privilege of unity with the Trinity of God abiding within us is one that we do not take lightly or ignore or undervalue. We consider our self blessed beyond recognition when He honors us with His compassion, attention, provision, care, affirmation, wisdom, and power throughout the day.

Prayer:

Father God, thank You for these times of intimate focus on Your presence within us. We come to experientially know for our self the love of Christ in His sacrifice for us all, and we are humbled by the import of His death, resurrection, ascension back to His glory in Heaven, and that He will return for His bride at the end of the age of the Gentiles (2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:27; Revelation 19:7).

We are so privileged to have Your Godhead filling our entire being with all Your fullness, and to have the richest measure of Your intimate presence in us as we are transformed by Your Spirit to become a body completely flooded with You. This realization surpasses anything this world has to offer us, and this experience sustains us now and into eternity, regardless of our trials in our lifetime (Ephesians 3:16-19).

Thought for the Day:

We can always come boldly to the throne of God to receive His love, provision, nurture, care, and compassion regardless of what we experience during our day; He exchanges His renewal for our weariness, His faith for our anxiety, His peace for our unrest, and His direction for our indecision.
