God Never Fails Us

Bouquet, Flowers, Roses

Our relationship with our Daddy God is one of trust and anticipation. Our soul waits on Him each moment of our day because we expect His involvement in our life. He is our refuge and defense, and He keeps our feet firmly planted on Christ, our solid Rock. We can put our trust in Him, regardless of our circumstances, and pour out our heart to Him (Psalm 62:5-8).

If we truly walked away from our habitually sinful lifestyle, and we called on the name of Jesus to be saved (Ephesians 2:8), God’s love covers our sins, teaches us lessons from them when we reap what we sow, and helps us to overcome future temptations. His joy is our strength in every situation (Nehemiah 8:10; Proverbs 3:12, 10:12; Hebrews 12:6; Jude 21; 1 Corinthian 10:13).

God loves us and calls us to love one another without hypocrisy, to hate what is evil, and to focus on what is good. He encourages us to show brotherly love to each other with kind affection as we give preference to each other (1 John 4:18-19; Romans 12:9-10; Proverbs 17:17). His Word declares that our community will know we are Christians by our love for one another (John 13:35-37).

Walking in God’s will for our life is really very simple. He shows us in His Word what is good, and what He requires from us. He wants us to live honorably, to show other people the same mercy He gives to us, and to remain humble and submissive before Him in all our ways (Micah 6:8; Ephesians 4:2).

God’s love enables us to find the good in our tribulation, because it works patience into the fiber of our soul. Patience does her perfect work in us, and we are able to experience the hope that God provides for those who trust in Him. His faithful mercy toward us is new every morning, and His compassion never fails us (Romans 5:3-5; Lamentations 3:22-23; Psalm 103:13).

Prayer:

Father God, we sometimes feel lost in this world, but we thank You that Jesus is our way, truth, and life (John 14:6). We so appreciate that Jesus took the punishment for our sins and gave us His righteousness and peace and healing instead (Isaiah 53:5). Your only requirement for us, in order to receive this free gift of salvation, is for us to call upon Jesus’ name (Romans 10:13). His loving kindness is better than anything this world has to offer to us (Psalm 63:3).

We are wonderfully knit together in our mother’s womb by Your own hands, and we so enjoy Your marvelous works all around us. Our soul rejoices in You (Psalm 139:14). You continually hold us up in Your hand and help us, so we have nothing to fear (Isaiah 41:13). We feel Your love every day and thank You for the sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf. Remind us to show this same love and care for one another (1 John 3:16). We praise Your marvelous and powerful name all the days of our life.

Thoughts for the Day:

God is our refuge and strength, and we can pour out our heart before Him as we always trust in Him alone (Psalm 62:8). He loves every person ever born so much – past, present, and future – that He provided us with His Son as Savior to the whole world for all the ages of time. He never condemns us, but we condemn our self by our unbelief (John 3:16-18). If we trust in Him, we will not perish in hell for eternity but have everlasting life in His presence.
