The Lord hides us in the secret place of His presence within us from the schemes of this world, the plans of the devil, and the depravity of our fleshly desires. He conceals us in His sheltering arms from permanent harm and false accusations (Psalm 31:20). When we trust in Him alone, His mercy and favor embrace us from every side (Psalm 5:12, 32:10).
We hope in God’s Word each day, through adversity and blessings alike. The Bible is our mainstay throughout our life, giving us comfort, guidance, instruction, and discipline (Psalm 119:114). No Biblical wisdom ever returns to us void of meaning and help, it is powerful and alive, and it directs our path (Isaiah 55:11; Hebrews 4:12; Proverbs 3:5-6).
His love enraptures our soul, and it causes us to love Him and those He brings into our life (1 John 4:7-8). Our heart flutters out of our chest, at times, due to the abundance of His loving care, strong deliverance, and faithfulness to us in every way (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).
God hides us during times of trouble in the secret place of His tabernacle. He sets our feet on a solid Rock during shifting seas of circumstances (Psalm 27:5). He takes our worries away, and He puts in our heart a new song of praises to Him. When people see our example, they too will be inspired to put their trust in the Lord (Psalm 40:3).
Prayer:
Father God, You are our hiding place, and You protect us from trouble as You surround us with songs of deliverance. Whenever we are afraid, we can put our whole trust in You (Psalm 32:7). You bless the righteous, and You surround us and all the oppressed with a shield of Your favor during times of stress and suffering (Psalm 5:12, 9:9).
You do marvelous things, You triumph gloriously, and You lead us to victory as captives of Jesus’ love (Psalm 98:1; Exodus 15:1-3). Use us to spread the knowledge of Your ways and the Gospel of Christ wherever we go (1 Corinthians 15:57). We have peace and courage when we experience tribulation through Jesus’ words and example recorded for us in the Bible by Your prophets and disciples (John 16:33).
Thoughts for the Day:
We were once slaves to sin, and we wholeheartedly and committedly followed its dictates and temptation (Romans 6:17). However, once we repent of our sinful practices and believe that Jesus is our Savior and King, we live as slaves of Christ, and we share in the victory of Jesus over this harmful and deceitful way of life.
