The Lord makes sure that His face shines on us, and He is always gracious to us. He directs His loving and approving countenance on us, which brings us persistent peace and joy. He continually blesses and keeps us (Numbers 6:24-26).
Due to sin’s effect on this cursed earth (Genesis 3:17), many suffer from hunger and lack the items which they desperately need. However, those that actively and genuinely seek the Lord never lack for any good thing (Psalm 34:10). We even have an abundance to share with the poor and needy all around us (Matthew 26:11).
If we unwittingly get caught up in doing things our way, instead of the Lord’s, He is always waiting with His mercy to abundantly pardon our transgressions. We call on Him when He is near to us, and we seek Him continually. We forsake our unrighteous ways and thoughts, and we return to following after Him (Isaiah 55:6-7).
God can bless us when we keep His testimonies, seek Him with our whole heart, and do not wander from His commandments (Psalm 119:2, 10). If we do stumble, we can pray, and He will hear us and free us from the bondage that causes us to stumble (Jeremiah 29:12-14; 2 Chronicles 7:14).
We have a personal relationship with God and serve Him with a willing heart and focused mind. The Lord searches our heart, and He understands the imaginations of our thoughts. We draw near to God, and He draws near to us (James 4:8). We have no desire to forsake Him, so that He will keep us forever (1Chronicles 28:9).
Prayer:
Father God, thank You that we can ask, seek, and knock and You hear us and provide for us everything we need to live Godly in Christ Jesus (Matthew 7:7; 2 Timothy 3:12-17). When we seek You, we find the true meaning of life and our eternal destination (Amos 5:4). When we seek You, we find joy, and we are glad in You. We magnify You and love Your salvation (Psalm 40:16).
You are never far from any of us, and we can find You any time day or night (Acts 17:27). You are only a prayer away from us. We thank You that we can trust in You because You are trustworthy, and we can keep our faith in You because You are always faithful to meet our needs and to lead us in Your perfect path for our life.
Thoughts for the Day:
God always looks down from heaven on His creation and searches for those who understand His plans and who seek His face (Psalm 14:2). He is always good to those who wait on Him and who listen to His voice (Lamentations 3:25; Psalm 105:4). Living life our way and being true to our self alone causes us to tread on a spinning wheel like a hamster in its cage. However, if we always follow God’s perfect plans, we live a fruitful life as a branch on the Vine of Christ (John 15:5-7).
