Our Great King in all the Earth

Robed in majesty, the Lord reigns - armed with strength as He establishes our world on a firm and secure foundation. Proven long ago, His throne is for all of eternity. All of creation praises Him and bows to His glory, and the seas lift up their voice and worship the Lord with thunderous waves (Psalm 93:1-5).

The Lord on high is mighty in character and deed. His Biblical principles and truths stand firm through every generation, and His holiness adorns our life forever and ever. Shining forth as the Righteous Judge over the whole earth, God avenges His people.

He allows the proud to ultimately reap the fruit of what they deserve by what they sowed during their lifetime. He despises their arrogant words and their boasts in their evil deeds (Psalm 94:1-4). They condemn their own self by their unbelief (John 3:18).

Even though the arrogant crush and oppress God's people now, He will ultimately avenge the righteous. Without remorse, ungodly people murder the widower, the unborn babies, and the foreigners - justifying their behavior and calling their evil good (Psalm 94:5-6; Isaiah 5:20).

Even though the wicked band together to persecute the righteous and condemn the innocent to death, God is our refuge and strength. He repays and destroys the evil doers for their actions. He is our continual Rock and Stronghold into whom we run for comfort (Psalm 94:20-23).

The unrighteous believe that there is no God, and they are in charge of their own destiny. However, God calls them fools and exhorts them to become wise. He formed us in our mother's womb, and He hears and sees all things (Psalm 94:7-9; Jeremiah 1:5).

Our Heavenly Daddy knows all of our futile plans before we even make them. He disciplines nations, and imparts His wisdom to anyone that is humble and teachable. He keeps us on track by His loving correction, and He instructs us in His ways (Psalm 94:10-12).

Prayer:
Father God, You give us relief from our times of trouble, and You never forsake those who are Your inheritance. Your people follow Your ways and do not reap the judgment earned by the wicked. Thank You for redeeming us from the silence of death, for supporting us by Your unfailing love when our foot slips, and for giving us Your joy to replace the anxiety within us (Psalm 94:13-19).

We come to You and sing for joy. We shout out loud to You, our Rock and our Salvation. We enter Your presence with thanksgiving in our heart for who You are, and for what You do for us every moment of every day. We sing continual praises to Your name, and we exalt You with the words of our lips. You are our great King and our God above all gods (Psalm 95:1-3).

Thought for the Day:
In the hollow of God's hand are both the depths of the sea and the highest mountain peaks; the whole earth and the entire universe belong to Him, because He made it all; therefore, we bow down to Him in worship and kneel to Him as our Maker, our God, and our Shepherd who cares for us all.
- Psalm 95:4-7
